The show of Alessandro La Motta identity design
along the work on paper by the artist , focusing on three cycles of works by more than twenty years , distinguishes his research: the angels , armor , faces .
From the suggestions of Rilke's Duino Elegies unravel the angels , figures entangled in their flight , often closer to fall, like human figures , which offsets heavenly .
Then there are the masks or concealed reinforcement , caught in their ancestral form , hiding something and at the same time reveal him to the heart , rather than the eye: a new identity. Surprised faces in the eyes and poetic stripped of Dylan Thomas .
Finally, the last works , which trace maps of impossible beauty, like the heads of statues of ancient Greece so sacred that it can not be looked almost , that while they look at us , almost trembling in fear of imminent cancellation . Figures of goddesses and heroes athletes stumble at a glance. A journey through the classical civilization , but also monitoring and research for our age , through the reflections on the myth of the Dialogues of Cesare Pavese .
