The exhibition, which will be open from Tuesday to Sunday from 18 to 22, is proposed as an updated survey in time, with the presence of 176 Sicilian artists active since 1930, in space, with works by about fifty common prevenient representing the nine provinces of Sicily and the galaxy of artistic expression, with an exhibition of paintings, photographs, sculptures and installations.
This research is the result of fifty years of work by Nicolo D'Alessandro, one of the greatest experts of Sicilian art.
The show's title will not be a blank affirmation of parochial pride, but, to quote the editor, "moves from a playful attitude that makes the verse to" Made in China "," Made in Italy "," Made in Taiwan ""Made in PRC", "Made in Korea" that does not give the idea of a borderless market, but to any place of production. This shows, in a space as "chimneys", wants to be a kind of luxury housing, a showcase for the metaphorical figurative culture in Sicily.
Tries, with this first meeting, to show through the story of the same artists, the evolution (ol'involuzione) persistence of the figurative, non-formal and choices of accessions to the general misconception of contemporary art, attempts to investigate the "Southern question "system of arts in an area where the eccentric Sicilian not yet fully explored and verified, then tries to examine the contribution of artists in the critical review of the center-periphery dialectic of globalization el'equivoco the ambiguous concept of the contemporary."
