If contemporary art keeps an open question - the one about the man, his life, his doubts - certainly today the relationship with the territory, the future of the planet and its living conditions are contained in it, and inherently belong to it. Sometimes art can help relieve the modernity from the burdens it has imposed on itself, as beauty, identity, truth and meaning. It is necessary to reject the conventions and then scan by fragments the world/reality binomial.
The work of the artist who then investigates dimension of the social problems such as eco-sustainability and bio-diversity can not have the vocation of the negotiation and equalization between ideology and truth, but through a reflexive immersion must aspire to reach the discrepancies between behaviors and give voice to muffled cries. It is necessary to intensify the movement and increase energy with a work that lives on the relationship between artist and viewer, through a place of welcome designed to crop out the meanings of the world.
In the first years of the millennium the only possible vision is the contamination virus. Contemporary art is mirrored across this infection proposal, enriched by interdisciplinary approach and meta-languages that until last millennium were not placed in contact with the objective world.
But now the consequence is a psychological oscillation that must make natural the practice of the present, by the connection of a language and an attitude strongly open towards a civilized living.
So the contingent urgency of everyday life suggests a new figurative and conceptual sensitivity even through the use of materials that come from recycling and the organic, from a healthy engagement between natural and artificial. In the need for a better life precise intentions and energetic gestures germinating from artistic practice can return force, direction and thickness to contemporary art, more conscious and adherent to human life and the planet where this life is hosted. In a natural tendency to the entropy, the ability now resides in the revision of codes in a complexity key. This key is revealed in a transversal awareness, in order to find beauty and slowness in a complex environment of experimentations and proposals.
The large installations-sculptures of Bios amplify the alarm and engage in a fight against insensibility, taking in this context a therapeutic value, helping to "massage the atrophied muscle of the collective consciousness." Every civil society should expose itself to the duty of doubt. The duty of doubt is subjected to the question of art, to experience the freedom of new solutions and different conclusions. St. Augustine tells about a pirate captured by Alexander the Great: "Alexander: How dare you create chaos around the world?". The pirate replies "Because I do it with one small ship, I am called villain, that while you do so with a great fleet, you are called emperor."
