The artist shows the vitality and relevance of expression sought - ultimately by Expressionism - focusing on color grammar. His landscapes point on the power of colors, used as a tool to elicit emotions; the colors mix freely on the painted surface, suggesting visions and memories of a Nature real time now transfigured; the power of colors - also often shrill and violent - adds a clever variatio of mixtures and drafts - diaphanous and thin, even up to bring to light the nature of the medium, or thick and projecting - and color processing through linear scratches or broad strokes of the spatula. These interventions mimic a slight way and evocative grasslands in the wind, ruffled fields, flashes of light, and their mark is in balance between the descriptive intention and the intention allusive. The ambition to fix on the canvas elements from the ephemeral and transitory nature gives rise to "impressions" of colors, now played on the consistency of tone, but now on the deliberate pursuit of dialectical contrast. It is not difficult, then, for those who look at this painting, accept the invitation to transit the territory of the most disturbing inner landscape.
