Iconoclasm, from the greek eikon, "image" and klázo, "destroy", was a political movement - religious developed in the Byzantine Empire in the first half of the eighth century.
The doctrinal basis of this movement was the claim that the veneration of icons sfociasse often in a form of idolatry.
Iconoclastic and by extension is the one who fights in a violent beliefs, habits and uses the most established and consolidated, and this is the way to exalt XXS in this provocative collective taste. A conceptual struggle towards the worship of images and contemporary stereotypes to which we often uniformiamo without thinking, without exercising any critical sense, following fads or trends pret-a-porter.
XXS in collaboration with Angela Terrazzini, from May 11 has some artists, who, in their works, for various reasons, a critical exercise in some way destructive and subversive against the principles, ideas and conventions that govern society. This event will be: Elena Cermaria, Salvatore Alessi, Noumeda Carbone, Samuele Papiro, Patrizia Comand, Giordano Pini and Giuseppe Cuccio. .
