PRESS RELEASE
Friday, May 18, 2012, at 6:00pm, at the Villicana D’Annibale Galleria D’Arte of via Cavour (Arezzo) will inaugurate the exhibit of painting and sculpture of Vladimiro Andidero entitled Labyrinth Cities and Other Visions. The exposition, curated by Californian gallerist and artist Danielle Villicana, will include a selection of sixteen works of art – ten canvases and six sculptures - by Calabrian artist who lives and works on Arezzo. The solo exhibition will continue, free admission, until Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
Vladimiro Andidero is a painter and sculptor who puts infinite curiosity and mastery in each work of art he creates. Whether it be figurative or abstract, serious or humoristic, the artist works with an optic personal research.
Architectures with brilliant and colorful tints, painted with joy, skill, freshness, are all distinctive elements found in Andidero’s work. He contemplates the construction of objects, whether realistic or polychrome labyrinths of his invention. An investigation which is fruit of an innate curiosity, a fascination for mythology and observation of the multiple facets of the human figure, and life in general, which in its complexity reserve happiness and also obstacles to overcome. The works of the Calabrian artist may be synthesized as a research at three hundred sixty degrees, which was also that of the Renaissance man.
With a notable ease of expression, Andidero paints structures where we can live, loose ourselves and dream of a better life. Desirable spaces, worlds with and without confines, a continuous stimulus leading the observer to perfection. In his sculptures, the artist moves freely between the contemplative man to he who dreams of a green and pastoral world for everyone, and even to fun, multicolored characters - half animal and half man - children of a fervent imagination, which relax and amuse a curious public and lovers of hot colors and beautiful design.
