The Angels 3.0 - REBIRTH exhibition by LorenzoArs will open on 18 June starting at 5 pm, with the patronage of the Municipality of Florence, at the Gadarte Gallery in Florence, in via Sant'Egidio, in the heart of the historic center.
The exhibition, by the multifaceted artist LorenzoArs, aims to stimulate and at the same time bear witness to a push towards rebirth, not only through the recovery of a long-blocked everyday life, but in the intensity of intentions and sensibilities that can improve it.
The figure of the angel, reinterpreted and placed in the current condition, abandons mysticism, the legacy of a representative tradition in a purely dogmatic and idealized key, to imbue itself with a contemporary spirituality, aimed at reflecting our fears and our mistakes, but also ours. power.
Angels as essences of earthly light, able to support us and accompany us in the difficult process of restarting after the pandemic period that has crossed us in the psyche and in the body. Through the dualism between physicality and immateriality, LorenzoArs' painting has always been confronted with the representation of social themes, such as violence against women and minors, migrant landings, natural disasters and personal and collective dramas with materiality and strength of a painting that does not leave indifferent. The energy that the viewer takes when approaching it is, however, as dramatic as it is vital.
Free from patterns and conventions, Angels 3.0 REBIRTH is also a reflection on contemporary heroes, full of autobiographical references and our collective history.
Precisely from a meeting between the artist and Guido De Barros, President of the Voa Voa Association! Friends of Sofia a.p.s. the idea was born of totally devolving the symbolic contribution as a donation for the Exhibition Catalog in favor of the "Drops of Hope Campaign", which intends to finance the first Trial in the world through Neonatal Screening for the early diagnosis of MLD (Metachromatic Leukodystrophy) in collaboration with the Meyer Pediatric Hospital in Florence. Each Catalog will in fact allow to carry out a screening test.
