with a theatrical reading of Alessandro Boschini

In the paintings of Philip Cusumano re-enactment of the symbolic objects of everyday life, such as large machines Cuban, and flavor reminiscent of light calibrated to American realism degli'anni thirty. The author interprets and reverses the reality: the light, that in Edward Hopper and the metal tank here, is consumed in an explosion of color and radiates away from mimesis to approach a painting with gestures dense material and processing intense color.

Realism gives way to the drawing speed blending with a net backgrounds, the artist denounces reality through fantasy lit color.
It passes from naturalism to the deconstruction through the use of colors away from veritas, exotic and ecstatic.
The coatings become aggressive neo-pop with the preparation of a varnish on the wooden support, the lines are no longer required, the materiality of the act are similar to the school of Verona and the Venetian Birolli Renato Roberto Ferruzzi.

In this exhibition the Lagoon and Cuba meet in fantasy, is a marriage of light in which Venice is surrounded by a halo futuristic.
Two rhythms of cities that have a different music, but that extraordinarily approach in a different step from the dance, but homogeneous. Like a couple that you look into my eyes and find the missing link in diversity, so the sound of Cuba in the streets of Venice plunged ... imagine seeing a bright red Cadillac navigating the Grand Canal.
