Bodies and Faces

With the exhibition "Bodies and Faces' the Chie Art Gallery wants to bring together twelve artists, artistically different between them, which have in common the search expression in the visual arts. The paintings on display are, therefore, bodies and faces (not just portraits), real human figures of men, women and youth. The subjects represented can be seen, simple faces hidden in the shadows, contrasting monochrome backgrounds, or fade to perceive an inner picture. The eye of the artist focuses in particular on the pleasantness of the bodies and faces and also on their surface, each time managing to convey to the viewer an intense refinement through beautiful and subtle expressions. In the background a variety of vibrant colors, and live, and unreal forms that recall evocative visions and enhance the beauty of the human figure, the latter managed to escape from any conventional scheme and intended rather to capture the spontaneity of expression of each individual painting.

Carlo Mantero was born in 1949 in Milan, where he lives and works as a graphic designer. He worked for many years at Olivetti, then as a freelancer has opened the Studio Mantero, are currently operating. For ten years he was professor of graphic design, first at the Polytechnic School of Design and later at the NABA (New Academy of Fine Arts), both in Milan. It has always been interested in the faces of people, some people who think they are a bit 'revealing of their lives and their states of mind, just watch them, and then the beauty of the graphic signs of the alphabet, their old forms and curious. A meeting, a playful bet to succeed in reconstructing faces by other means known and unknown, but with humor, grace and lightness.
Davide Ferro was born March 2, 1963 in Pavia where he lives and works. And 'in possession of the Diploma of Art degree from the Art Institute of Pavia and Michelangelo's Diploma in Painting degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in European Media in Milan. Giovanna Beneduce was born in Milan Monday, October 18, 1965. After studying it practical in terms of graphics in Italy and abroad and experience, self-taught, various forms of artistic expression, from the written to the visual one. From 1997 to 1999 produces a collection of watercolors of the sea, then up a series of tables decorated Nepalese rice paper, with sand and rock formations from the Saharan desert lands and islands of Mauritius. Since 2000 its versatility leads to further study on the portrait which has since run, especially on commission, acrylic on board and then on canvas.
Giuseppe D'Addario graduated from Art Institute of Monza (1973) is a teacher in the same year in 1978 at the vocational school "Luigi Motta." Later left teaching to pursue a profession graphic and painting. Followed by years particularly fruitful as far as art by painting alternating studies on the "New figuration" (Klee and Kandinsky) to the production informal pictorial and conceptual. Participated in numerous exhibitions and also produces plays, his great passion.

Livia Tavallini Milanese by birth, began painting on various materials, from linen to synthetic materials, wood panels with murals about 25 years ago. His passion for painting prompted her to try new techniques and this is how it begins to work with modern furniture effects adapted from time to time to the artistic needs of clients, for example, the San Pellegrino. Then using a similar technique on canvas shows his talents producing works that can read with a very personal interpretation of flavors without altering its message.
Lorenzo Butturi his is a painting of consciousness that relies on the sign and the ball not only gestural impulse and passion, but also the need for bold, speaking with his life soaring through the wire of the challenge. In this sense, the formal search will remain subdued until the synthesis of abstraction, expressive climax of his painting, however, that part of a figurative universe.
Manu Invisible born in Cagliari in 1990, captures a very young age his passion for art and in particular its most immediate and spontaneous street art. After two years industrial institution he graduated from art school a few years of Cagliari and lives in Milan. He signed a number of jobs in Sardinia, Milan, Bologna and Barcelona.
Nevia Gregorovich pianist and painter from Istria, graduated at the Milan Conservatory, he devoted himself methodically and continuously exposing the art research in Italy and abroad. Roberto Persichini was born in Milan active in the underground alternative Milan. Experience as a photographer and graphic designer, television cameraman, has been operating for years in the culture of the town of Milan, with great satisfaction at the professional level. History buff and avid art collector and enthusiast. As an artist he has participated in several solo exhibitions.
Sonia Grolimund born in Romania, he graduated in art and later graduated in philosophy. After seven years of living in China, his technique of painting is traditionalist Chinese (Chinese silk paper, ink and color Chinese and passpartout silk woven by hand), but the style is modern and in the abstract. The untitled paintings meticulously presented here do not reflect what we see, on the contrary, are an abstract production of its internal image. These have the gift to express, in a play of colors and shapes, her feelings and perceptions.
Sonia Scaccabarozzi degree in art, is a sculptor of ceramics of high artistic quality, made with the ancient Japanese technique and evocative "Raku", but original and modern design, both from the expressive point of view and from that content.
