A glimpse at Photo Vogue, 101 Photographers/101 Pictures
Exhibitions, Italy, Milano, 19 July 2012
Vogue Italia is committed to support excellence in photography. In April 2011, it therefore created Photo Vogue: this is a section of theVogue.it website designed to promote the work of photographers (professional and amateur) from all round the world.
The way it works is very simple. Anyone can upload their photos, but before they’re published they have to be approved by the Vogue.it editorial team under the supervision of Alessia Glaviano, Photo Editor for Vogue Italia and L'Uomo Vogue.
Photo Vogue now includes the work of 30,000 photographers and has more than 55,000 approved images. There’s also an online platform cementing the partnership between Photo Vogue and Art+Commerce, the prestigious international photography agency that represents some of the greatest international photographers – including Vogue Italia contributors Steven Meisel, Craig McDean, Sølve Sundsbø, Tim Walker and Paolo Roversi.

The Photo Vogue collection housed by Art + Commerce is a library of copyright-protected images and contains the photos published in Photo Vogue. It’s an initiative that guarantees that Photo Vogue photographers will be able to increase their visibility and profits exponentially.

The exhibition A Glimpse at Photo Vogue - 101 Photographers/101 Pictures brings together 101 shots by 101 different photographers, including some of the best images published on the platform.
