Opening Reception - Thursday, October 4 at 5pm
The Yellow Box Gallery in partnership with the Atlantic Human Rights Center will be featuring the work of artist Kate MacDonald in a solo exhibition of her series of still life paintings entitled Last Meals. Kate MacDonald’s work has garnered international attention and is based on the artist’s research into the last meals consumed by prisoners before their executions.
The opening will be preceded by a panel discussion with the participation of the artist Kate MacDonald, Marc Gionet, Director of the Atlantic Human Rights Center, and Dr. Rodger Wilkie on the subject of art, culture, and human rights. The panel discussion will take place at McCain Hall (Room 101) at 4pm.
