As the title suggests the show is dedicated to the masterpiece of the Master of Edo; artists will take inspiration on it, creating original artworks that reinterpret the famous printing and all that it still evokes, expressing concepts related to it, such as the unstoppable force of nature, the sea at the same time as giving life (as water), but also giving death (the drama of storms).
The exhibition is part of a curatorial project designed to accompany the first solo exhibition in Italy by Ryuhei Matsuo, young Japanese artist, whose show will be held at the Museoteatro della Commenda di Prè, medieval building which is also managed by Mu.MA.
