Critical comment by Elisabetta La Rosa, art historian
They are emotions, sensations, it is life that flows in the human essence and becomes art condensing itself in the work Radici by Maristella Angeli.
The artist Maristella reflects on how we are all connected, all linked by common roots, and if they are made up of emotions, of vital breaths, of those sensations that shape the sensitive matrix of our ego.
By observing the chromatic filaments of the work, it should be noted how they embody precisely those naturalistic roots, which are nothing more than the roots of the human essence as we are all part of the naturalistic becoming and we breathe through Mother Earth, feeling part of the same universe.
The artist invites us to delve into the depths of our ego, returning to the roots, immersing ourselves in that chromatic density that characterizes the work, the result of the mixture of abstraction of the mind and pictorial matter arising from the artistic impulse which, as a lifeblood, animates the spirit of Maristella Angeli.
