The series of drawings portraits is not, as the name would suggest, in a wide variation of portraits of the artist, but it is a project in which life itself is revealed and she talks about her more real and tangible wounds. The stories presented are each a fragment of our sick society: a political Pinocchio unravels the deceptions of power, women as fragile dolls, soldiers trained hypocrisy of the war that generates peace, a child in need of protection and security as a metaphor for our most hidden vulnerability.
Poised between artificial and natural nostalgia, the search continues in the Loi atmosphere of war "Spring Quirra", where soldiers and machines mix and mingle among the highlights of their lifeless forms. A post-war landscape populated by residues of games once again a metaphor for a life lived in ephemeral balance between artifice and reality, is made piece by piece in a dimension without time and space. The pastoral world, the Sardinian, is candidly victim of devastation from afar, but did not give up and resist the usurpation of their lands. Finally, the bucolic images are combined in this game of war in a microcosm where everything is fiction except death, because Quirra every battle is artificial, false and useless training for life, where man is not allowed to choose otherwise.
The universe toy reappears in the photographic series "Metacity", where the insulation is the protagonist of a contemporary technological archeology, reflecting a well-established way of life. Antiques computer inhabit a jungle where the primitive lodges in the ruins of a world that is a metaphor for all of us. Loi builds a city symbol of the consequences of human progress, suggesting the suspicion that our efforts have resolved evolution in pure regression, where the places and ways of contact between human beings are no longer physical, but virtual and free expression technique of human intelligence has led to an unconscious and yet consensual dependence of the car.
It is the toy, therefore, the common thread of much reflection on contemporary society, the toy that simulates the details of the adult world to make them accessible to children, here becomes valuable investigative tool: it has the power to ridicule the Royal Society, to put focus the contradictions and, by virtue of his garment giullaresca, has the privilege of leading the viewer his metaphors to new heights of understanding and critique of the many social truths that oppress us.
