The library Enzo Tortora is delighted to host the photographic exhibition “Alessandra Baldoni. Senza” curated by Maddalena Rinaldi.
The solo show, that opens on saturday 5 October, on the occasion of “La Nona giornata del Contemporaneo” promoted by AMACI, it is part of Rome photographic festival 2013, and it ends on saturday 9 november.
The works suggest a dialogue between poetry and photography by investigatine the absence as lack, gap, impossibilità, denial.
The photos exhibited were inspired by Antonella Anedda’s poem “Notti di pace occidentale” and they involve the spectator in a great meditation on the human existence which the spectator escare.
The works allude to the economic and political crisis (“Senza rifugio”) tothe loss of the genetic features, of traditions, of life (“Senza Volto”), but the works allude also to the loss of roots and of the past (“Senza radici”). They also allude to the absence of the cardinal points because of the wars (“Senza geografia”, “Senza cammino”).
The photos of Alessandra Baldoni are strong photos which give voice to the silente imposed to the humans. Her pictures are also about the unknown that makes the man alone and weak (“Senza conoscenza”, “Senza parole”).
The exhibition in the library Enzo Tortora will give works a pertinent perception that valorizes its aesthetic and poetic quality. I twill give spectator an opportunity to re-read Anedda’s poem.
During the exhibition there will be some reading of poetry curated by Emanuele Merlino, with the artist and also some poets, actors, writers to create an attractive dialogue between the arts.
