The study Vanna Casati is happy to accommodate from 5 October to 30 November the exhibition by Alessandra Baldoni , Save As , curated by Magdalena Rinaldi .
The exhibition, which will open for the Ninth Day of Contemporary Art organized by AMACI Saturday, Oct. 5 , at 18.00 , offers an unpublished work of the artist focused on the experience of some women writers , death, suicide .
Save arises from the title as a declaration of love for something that must be preserved from oblivion and forgetfulness and stems from the artist to pay tribute to those writers who have played a key role in his aesthetic research .
Click poetic and refined, that hides a strong underlying conceptual connotation symbolic statues , those who Baldoni has created to tell lives , passions and destinies of Virginia Woolf , Amelia Rosselli , Ingeborg Bachmann, Antonia Pozzi and many others. Writers, poets , authors , who have decided to continue to live choosing death . As if to retreat and disappear forever , it was the only way to be free from restraints and gags .
Today , Alessandra Baldoni , decides to mend those destinies torn and tie into a single tale of those images, stories of love and suffering.
The photos on display , such as visual metaphors allude to simulacra in an attempt to narrate the experience of each writer through those symbols that have been part of their lives , but also their atrocious death.
The look of Alessandra Baldoni (Perugia , 1976) always reflects the specificity of the photographic act in connection with the other arts , offering impressive inroads in the fable , literature or poetry . The artist depicts real set, constructing a metaphysical world and enchanted and trying to tell the places of the soul, those existential geographies in which everyone can recognize . The central themes of his work are memory, dream , fable and love. Active for years on the national and international Alessandra Baldoni is today one of the artists selected for the Cairo Award 2013. Already proposed by Studio Vanna Casati in 2005 today you back with an unpublished work .
