IDROPHILIA | The Habitable Zone
The Show IDROPHILIA | The Habitable Zone by Ilaria Margutti in collaboration with the group The Giraffe Labs and Luca Giovagnoli, was designed and built, to bring attention to the relationship between man and the world, placing the base of the theory of path Web of Life, as the only method of detection possible with the matter of which we are made.

For the third consecutive year, with the support of the Institution Museum Library and Historical Archives of Sansepolcro and the Department of the Contemporary strengthens the will and commitment to maintain active spaces of 'CasermArcheologia - Place Possible Utopias', former Barracks Carabinieri of Sansepolcro, which reopened to the public to repeat the experience of contemporary artistic experimentation as a link in the dialogue between Art, Memory and Identity.
The exhibition involves twenty artists, Alessandra Baldoni, Claudio Ballestracci, Roberta Bernardini, Francesco Bocchini, Simona Bramley, Marco Buzzini, Viola Cangi, Juan Carlos Ceci, Francesco Ciavaglioli, Paolo Fabiani, Antonella Farsetti, Luca Giovagnoli, Valter Lazzerini, Dacia Manto , Ilaria Margutti, Jara Marzulli, Saverio Markets, Giorgia Moretti, Massimo Pulini, Virginia Ryan, Laura Serafini, The Giraffe Labs, which for the occasion will exhibit works in which they have already addressed the issue of the relationship between water-environment-man, the relationship with nature and metamorphosis through the relationship aware of the concept of the Web of Life.
For hydrophilic means the matter physics to bind with water.
In a broader sense, it shall mean the property of certain materials to absorb or retain water inside them or on their surface.
In its metaphorical meaning, the hydrophilic can be considered as the fundamental loving relationship between living things and the water.
The CasermArcheologica reopens its salt suspended in time and memory, with an exhibition | route that wants to accompany visitors to reflect on the relationship between the human being and the web of life of which it is part, by placing the water as a linking element among all the things of nature, the fluid interconnected between life and his place, like a fabric that unravels following the grating forms suggested by Nature herself.
It indicates as Zone habitation the region around a star, where it is theoretically feasible for a planet, maintain liquid water on its surface.
So, the Habitable Zone is simply the perfect place because those connections happen, making possible the awareness of the experience of life.
Central to the show, then, is the theme of metamorphosis, of transition and change, sharing and dialogue between different levels of languages that characterize our age.
Also this year are involved in the project of cultural interaction between contemporary art and territory, the high school students of Sansepolcro, with an educational project curated by Alessandra Baldoni and Ilaria Margutti.
The exhibition will be open from Friday to Sunday from 16.00 to 20.00 - and July 19 to 26 every afternoon from 16.00 to 20.00
To Show at CasermArcheologica joins the project of interactive art installation WATER IS ALL, made, produced and supported by Claudio Ballestracci, Manolo Welcome, Giulio Accettulli and music by Marco Mantovani.
The work, made mostly with plastic bottles of recovery, it looks like a giant bottle abandoned as a rejection, specially designed to give the impression of being somewhat "underground".
Its dimensions allow a large number of users to enter simultaneously and pause there adapted for interacting with four fountains fully functional, inviting viewers to get closer to the water and reveal their most secret function: the approach of the user, devices Fountains suspend the flow of water and emit a melody line of a string instrument that sounds a certain score. The composition, original and dedicated, sounds complete only when all four fountains are active, and it is as if evoked, from the water, a string quartet.
The installation will be enjoyed every day from April 24 to May 3, 2015

As of 19 July 2015, the draft also IDROPHILIA weave its programming with that of Kilowatt Festival - The energy of the contemporary scene: not only for the combination between kilowatts and the opening period of the exhibition, but also for the presence in exhibition of Francis Ciavaglioli, artist who will take part in the visual arts section of the Festival, Kilow'Art, with a new project designed specifically for the 13th edition.
