"The Mirror, Darkly" is the photographic path created by Francesca Randi and Alessandra Baldoni. Already the choice of the title you will enjoy an atmosphere of magic and mysticism: the mirror is magical symbol par excellence, reflects our image inchiodandoci to reality but is said to be as a bridge to other dimensions, spaces and otherworldly occult in which ' man wanders in search of hidden truths moving between unconscious memories and projections.
The exhibition gives voice to fantasies and especially the nightmares that dig into the psyche of children with use of black and white that not only has a simple, no matter how sophisticated, artistic value, but it is crucial to lead in an introspective dimension and accentuate the drama and the depth of the scenes and meanings recounted. The two photographers have chosen a theme of their loved one and have it investigated in a similar way but following process by drawing on personal and subjective and collective memory.
Investigate the nightmare as archaeologists digging in the psyche of dreams, bringing to light small and large shadows, exposing a terror almost fierce in "theaters of horror" that they build with their September Love for reconstruction, for the symbolism veiled or revealed, give the viewer a true emotion. A world of forgotten voices, driven back into the darkness from which spring but able to emerge with all their might.
