After the success of last year, the de Faveri contemporary art gallery has decided to renew the appointment of the original exhibition entitled Save our impromptu Skiers, this show last season had seen the free participation of a group of semi-spontaneous artists intervened in site, bringing their own personal work and agreement to participate in a walk with snowshoes, following the inauguration. Not a performance or a cultural gesture to assert some kind of truth, but a genuine attempt, spontaneous and ironic approach of distant worlds, which fascinate each other, once free from preconceptions and stereotypes. The show, already last year, had a hopeful sign that his undeniable essence, based on entertainment and culture, revealing its objective, namely the recovery of that genius loci capable of restoring the lost grounds in the world to smile; in this specific case, reaffirming the ancient freedom of art. The event returns this year, again in February, with the same formula of fun and artistic event, but with the innovative aspects as regards the presence of artists and curators, a new formula developed and proposed by Viviana Siviero, critical and independent curator who for years worked with the gallery de Faveri and that it shares a certain pioneering spirit. A development that wants to be a further step closer to the most ambitious project, created in collaboration with the City of Sovramonte of CISA (Colonia Alpina Sovramonte for Artists), a kind of vacation accommodation with the opportunity to meet with other artists and or critical in a healthy environment, free from the conventions and customs, which are housed in hostels or in private homes, with an area that could serve as a popular workshop. The answer to this "call" on the part of artists and curators will be a useful signal to calibrate the further progress of the project and in any case a wonderful opportunity for comparison and all fun.
The artists, once again, will be personally committed to bringing and installing the works at the site, which this year 's change: no longer the white walls of the gallery of Feltre, but the great space of the Servant of Lab610 XL Sovramonte, to emphasize even more experimental nature of the initiative, whose theme will be free again, and the extent of the works will be placed, so that the harmony of the size of the public can find an infinite number of different food for thought.
The inauguration was scheduled for Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 17:00 in the spaces 610 XL Lab Sovramonte, the presence of artists and curators will be part of the thought for this unique project and complete the works in the exhibition gallery.
A fundamental part of artistic expression is the characteristics Snowshoeing through the territory of the charming and sylvan Sovramontino, to which artists, curators and the public will be invited to participate, the POL of Sovramonte has also made available to support the event by organizing the walk and making available for all snowshoes (modern snowshoes) and its young stars as companions. An easy and attractive route, suitable for everyone, during which we can compare with the many artists and intellectuals invited, many of them first-hand experience mountain sports!
