PRESS RELEASE

Continue the artistic collaboration between Francesca Mariotti’s Spazio D'Arte L'Altrove and the Françoise Calcagno Art Studio. Francesca Mariotti, art curator and critic in Ferrara, in collaboration with Silvia Greggio will bring in Venice an interesting exhibition of three artists who will show us different techniques and stylistic expressions in which color is always the unquestioned protagonist.

An important musical and theatrical performance dedicated to jewish and nomade culture will accompany the exhibition. It will be set up in Campo del Ghetto with the title “Pa’am Achat – Once upon a time...”. The show is a poetic journey in the traditions, tales and legendary characters. As supplement will be presented traditional Klezmer songs (translated and rearranged) alternated with original songs played live.

Artists in exhibitions: Mario Esposito (painting) from Rome, Daniela Domenichini (painting) from Bologna and Odo Camillo Turrini (sculpture) from Castellarano (Re).
Famous for his small paintings of 10x10 cm, Mario Esposito will bring a brand new production of acrylics, enamels and oils on canvas. In his work you can see the issues most dear to him: "trees", "gondolas", "villages" and "animals", all forms that you can bring together and compose creatively in a single framework to infinity. This style connects the artist and the audience: the artist will provide two large panels, in which anyone can compose his works combining themes and colors to taste. Last May, again in Venice, his large canvases had been exposed, now will be tens of compositions, in which color will take different shapes for each one.
Daniela Domenichini will exhibit really graceful and unusual works, made with silk and plexiglass, copper and zinc. With her works amongst painting, matter and incisions, the artist creates a special feeling with the viewer. The thousands shades, the different depths, full and empties, lights and shadows in shades of green blues and blacks make this artist an absolute experimenter, a "soul rebel" who seeks the Nature further the Nature herself. Her latest works catch our eye, our soul, our mind, and lead indefinitely the game of references and memories / emotions.
Odo Camillo Turrini is an artist and a sculptor who wields different ceramic techniques: he dominates all techniques from the colors above glaze to the ancient technique of Raku (from Japan) through which, thanks to its mastery, to the type of clay used, to the elaborated cooking process and reduction of each sculpture, he reaches unique and unrepeatable changes of color. The earth, in the simplicity and poverty of its own essence, becomes the conclusion of a well-known artistic course: it establishes a dialogue with the visible transformed substance; the clay in his fingers comes alive with infinite possibilities, giving a tangible fragments of the world that he perceives.
