Photographers and Video-artists contest
The contest's goal is to capture, through video and photography artists' personal visions of creative spaces. The theme stretches across space as determined in the physical world, but also across creative, virtual spaces which artists occupy within themselves everyday in their work and leisure time.
Creative space is that private, portion of area inhabited only by ourselves.
In our pluralistic society we live in strange paradoxes that sometimes threaten our moral sense and rationality.
The future is full of uncertainty. We realize that it is not acceptable to destroy everything in the name of progress, if only for economic reasons.
How do we live this sense of instability? And where does this leave our personal identity and the neeed to continuously rethink its basis in relation to market economics?
Without any doubt this is the time for each of us to give voice to his or her own contribution.
The contest and exhibition would like to put the spotlight on the preservation of our inner and outer worlds.
The contest is sponsored by the city of Paterno', Italy, and organized by the Italian cultural association 'Ideattiva', in collaboration with 'Artprotacheles Association' of Berlin, Germany, and is open to all photographers and video-artists and is divided in two categories:
- Young category - under 35
years
- Senior category - over 35 years
The exhibition will be held at the prestigious Palace of Culture of Paterno', from 28 September to 19 October 2013.
Deadline for submissions: 7 July 2013, at midnight.
