SPAZIO LABO’ – CENTRO DI FOTOGRAFIA, organizer of the PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP IN NEW YORK project, offers, for the fourth year in a row, 3 SCHOLARSHIPS to give the opportunity to YOUNG EMERGING PHOTOGRAPHERS to participate in the weekly masterclass held in New York City. It’s an educational experience of high level and great importance in the career of many photographers who participated in the previous editions of the project.
First of all, some information about the project
> Photo Workshop New York 2013 will be held in JULY 2013
> there are 3 masterclasses, seven days each, in program:
- from July 1st to July 7th: Erica McDonald and Maggie Steber will teach “The Documentary Journey: The photographer transformed”
- from July 8th to July 14th: Stefano De Luigi and Ippolito Simion will teach “New York E-motion”
- from July 15th to July 21st: Donald Weber will teach “A-Z of Photography”
How can you win a scholarship?
To apply to the CALL FOR ENTRIES you have to satisfy 2 requisites:
1) You must be under 26 years old before the deadline of the application, March 1st 2013
There are no limits of nationality, sex or study title: everyone can apply.
2) You must be a 2013 member of Spazio Labo’ | Centro di fotografia. Membership fee is 15euros per year, application procedures are very easy. To know how to become a member write to info@spaziolabo.it.
Once you satisfy the above requisites, you can start preparing all the material needed for you application:
1) your portfolio (or selection of images that best represent your photography)
2) a text describing your portfolio
3) your CV
4) a text describing the photo project you would like to realize in New York City in case you will win the scholarship to attend one workshop.
Last step:
Download the APPLICATION FORM you can find HERE fill it and send it along with the previous material.
