After the exhibition in Italy of the Manifesto Brut (international art movement), www.manifestobrut.org at the museum Magma in Roccamonfina, situated in the crater of a volcano whose eruptive activity has been dated at 630,000 and 50,000 years ago and where were found the first human footprints unique in human history. The next will take place in Belgium and precisely in a singular place but with a history of more or less four hundred years in fact, it is a farmhouse dating from the seventeenth century located in the town of Lierneux (The Villettes) which is crossed by the path of the Ardenne 14 that joins Paris to Malmedy (Belgium) and from the path 571 also called the valley of the legends that runs through the valleys of the Amblève, of Salm and Lienne. Lierneux is known for the first time in 667 under the name of Ledernao or Lethernaco. In 862 bears the name of Ledernaus from Latin Ledernavus to designate a place on the Lienne. The name Lederna would be of Celtic origin. On May 11, 1940 the day after the start of the campaign of the 18 days, the city is occupied by the fifth panzer division which their aim was to cross the Meuse.
"The lords of Jalheau lived in this house before going on a crusade"
The exhibition will be held in the stable of the farm more or less 400 square meters and goes from Saturday October 19, to Sunday October 27, 2013.
Considering that it is one of the oldest farms in the Municipality, the owner “Alice", at the opening day, she will make us a summary of its history.
The Manifesto Brut has three objectives: the independence and freedom of the artist, to fight against a dictatorial market, make exhibition spaces democratic contrasting the lies and privileging the sharing.
We are sure that to consider art as a privileged artifact and not as a different way to communicate and to make information is purely wrong. In the first case, the privileged artifact by definition is limited to merchandise often with no intrinsic value, purely decorative but with the presumption or deceit to present it as an intellectual product. In the second case, it is privileged the cultural exchange, dialogue is established between the parties although often difficult, but with patience and with the help of common sense we can communicate. Offering also some tips necessary to the interpretation of a language made of images, imagination and colors to which we can assign different meanings (according to various combinations), which may lead to the interpretation of the artifact or to seize its meaning, the game becomes interesting and various shades can be better captured by our brains thanks to the multitude of elements at its disposal, and then turn them into deep emotions beyond words. Therefore, to want at any costs to take possession or to usurp the art making and the created images to turn them in objects of market, then, it is better to produce potatoes that will certainly be more useful and appreciated. The art does not need specific places for consecration on the contrary has no need to be consecrated, art is among us, it is a part of our existence and wanting absolutely deprive it of his liberty to imprison it in a price, it is purely madness. It is for this reason that the Manifesto Brut, for its exhibitions prefers the places that the market would never choose. Use art only to make money is just stupid because it would mean making the soul and the artist's work vulgar.
