The first event of the 2014 season of programming given to young artists and curators Palazzo Lucarini Contemporary Trevi , opens the door to Lara Pacilio .
After the first seven exhibitions that have had starring Diego Petroso, Diego Miguel Mirabella and Mauro Vitturini , cloro cloro cloro & lelimane , Melissa Giacchi , Francesco Ciavaglioli , Nicole Voltan , Amedeo Abello and Cinzia Delnevo , continues the programming of Galleria Cinica, a project conceived by Maurizio Coccia and Mara Predicatori Palazzo Lucarini Contemporary ( Trevi PG) - former Flash Art Museum , with the staff of Lara Pacilio entitled Pneuma, edited by Maila Buglioni.
The artistic research Lara Pacilio is characterized by an unusual interplay between visual art , theater and music . His inexhaustible source of inspiration is the human being as a subject to be investigated in order to explore the soul , the feelings and the emotions provoked in particular situations of discomfort with the aim to externalize , to make them visible through different artistic media .
The project presented by Galleria Cinica is a series of works centered on the concept of madness, the madness understood as latent and hidden in each of us as a psychological imbalance or belonging to the contemporary world. An interest emerged about a year ago, thanks to the visit carried out at the mental hospital of Volterra and subsequently increased during a series of meetings held at the Santa Maria della Pietà in Rome.
In Pneuma mechanical installations gently highlight this issue involving the observer as structures with their movement . Their status , halfway between sculpture and small designer furniture, is made R03;R03;real through their presentation / playback video images. In short processed performers , musicians and location play an important role in contextualizing the works and bringing out more clearly the concepts inherent in them . Lara is fundamental to the musical element , guarded installations and processed by Luca Nostro ( guitarist and composer , first electric guitar Parco della Musica Contemporanea Ensemble ) , as it makes its living works , like the characters on which they are shaped . Interiority , emotional flows and moods brought to light to be ' re- lived ' in the first person from the audience.
Pacilio Lara was born in Rome in 1978 , lives and works in Rome. After graduating from the Art School of Rome VI attended the three-year " Art Direction and Costume" at IED in Rome , graduating in 2002. Despite his training linked to the theatrical world, Lara felt the need to create works that combine theater, visual art and music . From 2003 to 2008 he worked as a set designer and assistant art director in several plays and films. He has exhibited his work through exhibitions both personal and collective made R03;R03;of Italian cities but also abroad: from New York to Miami, from Buenos Aires to Prague. In addition to the exhibition has performed live painting performance including the latest " From A to B trip ," performed in 2012 at the Casa del Jazz in Rome thanks to the support of the " Cultural Program " Community Europe , the supervision of the project and the selection of the same by the Education Audivisual & Culture Executive Agency ( AECEA ) of the European Commission.
