INTRODUCES THE NINTH EDITION OF THE PAINTING COMPETITION
“TROFEO G.B. MORONI”
For this first 2012 edition, organised by the A.C.A.F. Association, the theme is free and open to Italian and foreign artists of all ages and within the following categories:
OIL, ACRYLIC, WATERCOLOR, GRAPHICS, DIGITAL ART.
ALL CATEGORIES COMPETE FOR THE FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD PRIZE
REGULATIONS
Art. 1 – ENROLMENT: To participate in the competition, you must fill in and sign the “Application Form”and send it, together with a copy of the payment of the registration fee, to A.C.A.F. by mail or e-mail no later than Dicember 30, 2012.
In addition to the abovementioned documents, in order to proceed with the selection of twenty finalists, please attach a photograph of the artwork, for the chosen categories, taking into account the following points:
- if you send by e-mail: each artwork must be in high definition .jpg or .pdf format, with the artist’s name and surname, title and dimensions (size of the artwork maximum 100x100 cm);
- if you send by priority mail: high resolution pictures (cm 100x100) or CD/DVD, with the artist’s name and surname, title and dimensions (size of the artwork maximum 100x100 cm).
Please attach also a synthetic presentation of the artist (CV) and/or of the artwork, not exceeding 500 characters, as well as any catalogues.
For the application forms received by mail, we will consider the date of the postmark.
For the application forms received by e-mail, we’ll consider the e-mail arrival date.
Art. 2 – PRESELECTION: On 03 January 2013, after selecting the artwork pictures received, by unappealable decision (judges only), the jury (formed by experts and art critics) will select a maximum of twenty artists who, promptly notified, must send the winning artwork to the Gallery venue not later than 10 January 2013 for the free collective exhibition.
Art. 3 – AWARD SHOW - The twenty finalist works, including the awards category, will be exhibited in the Gallery in a 7-days collective exhibition, from 12-19 January 2013
The Gallery will organize the opening, develop promotional material and a presentation brochure on the artists, and diffuse the press release to the competent press and on the web.
The event will be advertised through posters and postcards throughout the city.
Art. 4 – PRIZE GIVING - Saturday, January 19 at 16:00, at The Great Hall of the Oratory of the Immaculate Conception in via Greppi – Bergamo, the award ceremony will take place in the presence of the jury and the city authorities.
Art. 5 - ACCEPTANCE STANDARDS - The artists participating in the contest implicitly accept the rules of the competition. The absence of one of the required data will result in exclusion from the competition. The jury's decision is final. Any possibility of recourse is excluded. The photographic material on paper or CD / DVD or files attached to emails, your CV and texts sent for participation will not be returned, but stored at the ACAF. The participant artists expressly authorize the ACAF to process personal data in accordance with Law 675/96 ('Privacy Act') and Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Privacy Code), also for inclusion in databases operated by these associations.

Art. 6 - INFORMATION - The A.C.A.F., despite utmost care of the works received and having an alarm system, do not assume, during the exhibition period, any liability for any damage in transit, tampering, fire, theft and other causes such as transport and storage. The artists are responsible for taking out any insurance.
The works must be withdrawn within FIVE days of the end of the event; each additional day will be calculated in euro 5.00 per day of storage, to be paid upon collection. If not collected within 30 days, the artworks will remain the property of the gallery. The works that, upon agreement at the time of receipt, should be sent by mail from the Gallery, will be returned BY MAIL BOXES OF MARCO ATTOLINI, Lallio (Bergamo) - if a personalized collection is required, the artist must inform the courier to collect the day established.
Prizes awarded by the CRITICS Jury
1st - Ranked: CUP
Free show in a personal exhibition in the gallery for a period of 10 days (*);
date to be agreed.
Personalized article on the “Eco di Bergamo online”.
Free catalogue.
2nd - and 3rd place: CUP
Free collective exhibition in the gallery for a period of 10 days (*);
date to be agreed.
Free listing for six months on the Gallery site.
Free catalogue.
(*) The exhibitions do not include costs for marketing materials and invitations, which are charged to the artists.
The ACAF only takes care of the posters and the online promotion of the event; if the artist wishes the ACAF to produce marketing materials as well as invitations, they should consult the “tabellario” on the ACAF web site for costs.
For the twenty artists selected to participate in the collective: Honorable Mention Plaque and free catalogue.
For all participants: diplomas of participation and inclusion in the catalogue.
All photographs of the artworks will be shown on the ACAF website and will be visible for a year.
The A.C.A.F. Cultural Association of Fine Arts-Artemisia Gallery stems from the closure of the New Artemisia Gallery - Bergamo. Founded in 2003 and conducted by academic Maria Grazia Frassetto - in September 2012, it became Cultural Association of Fine Arts, of which Mrs Frassetto is Chairman, Dr Enrica Pasqua (critic and art historian) is Vice Chairman and Rag. Gianni Pasqua is Treasurer; so artists participating in the competition can automatically join if they wish.
COMPETITION FEE
To enter the competition, as a contribution to the secretarial and organizational costs, entirely supported by the ACAF, a registration fee of € 50.00 is requested, as in previous editions. added categories for € 25.00 each
MEMBERSHIP FEE
The cost to join the A.C.A.F. for 2012 amounts to € 20.00.
The Association is purely personal and free.
CATALOGUE
The 2012 catalogue will be free of charge for the 20 selected artists; for all other artists, a downloadable digital copy will be available online.
Upon request, a digital copy of the catalogue will be written in a CD that will be shipped by mail for the cost of € 10.00.
Art. 7 - Failure to pay the fee will result in exclusion of the participant from the competition.
