1. What does it mean to you "being an artist" and devote himself to art?
It 's the way I communicate, convey emotions, values, feelings, and in other forms are not able to do. Devote myself to art is a continuing search for new ways of expression and concepts. The greatest joy I have is to see the emotion he feels the beholder my work, you know that I managed to convey a feeling.

2. His studies took away a lot of time? How many years was active in his field?
I have always had a passion for drawing, music, poetry. For me, studying, research, insights are continuous.
I am a self-taught, I attended in 2003, two years at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, where I have lived my transition to painting and began from that moment my production of paintings oriented abstract informal art.

3. How to build an image that want to create?

It comes from a study, observing nature, from the grasp certain nuances that need to be appreciated for meditation. The image then arises in my mind is the paint through an act evocative.

4. The fantasy and reality offer you many ideas to create even one series of works?
Nature is my source of inspiration, I transfer on canvas the emotions I feel in observing and contemplating.
5. What are the best phrases and comments he received from those who have been able to admire and appreciate his art?
What gives me joy and satisfaction is to hear the praise of those who observe my work and see his face into an expression that is sometimes to wonder more and more joy of exaltation, is to feel what he feels the observer, see 'work through other eyes.
6. What do you need to be an artist? What adjectives describe here the better?

I do not know, I think that art is the medium the artist and the means by which nature expresses its profound beauty.

7. Can you talk about the various exhibitions that has developed and organized so far? There are some who prefer to remember with enthusiasm?

I remember with enthusiasm all the shows I attended. It is very interesting encounter between artist and viewer.

8. How much instead Maestro De Palma his art? And also the costs that must be met to achieve them?

I carry unique pieces handmade oil painting on canvas, I never wanted to make reproductions or copies.
The costs for the construction of the paintings are related to the size, canvas, frame and colors.
The true cost of what the artist is his work, effort and passion is able to put in it.
Each of my paintings comes from a research project, a study of new techniques and concepts of expression, and each is enclosed work done up to that point.
Upon the listing of my works is € 200 for a 50x50 picture.

9. Do you have any points of reference in the history of art from centuries ago to today?

I always saw art as a whole town from the primordial cave paintings to contemporary art. The current that gave me more stimuli is the Impressionism, and the painter that excites me most is Vincent Van Gogh. These influences are certainly present, even if not entirely visible and obvious in my work, as confined to the use of colors ..

10. Do you have any fond memories to share about his travels and experiences abroad?

No artistic experience abroad for the moment. I hope to attend some shows abroad in the near future.

11. If you could write in his paintings, for example, what would you like the public to read?

I would like to add to the picture a poem that would express in words what the painting conveys the images.

12. How do you find peace, tranquility, and time to "build an orderly mind"?

The most restless, agitated and image search, in front of white cloth, then I balance, concentration and peace of mind to be able to impress upon the canvas what is defined in the mind. At the moment there is only the painting as a meditation on, which for me is therapeutic, it makes me feel good.

13. Today there is enough for the culture in our country? Perhaps in other areas you do more?

We come from a cultural history unique in the world, we have an impressive legacy, but it does very little. Surely the rest of Europe and in many other parts of the world, culture is valued, appreciated and there is a collective consciousness of what is the value and richness of culture.

14. Plans for the future? The intentions or dreams to be realized?

Continue my artistic journey. I still have a lot to say and express.

15. There are also unusual? Never exposed and never "criticized"?

Yes. My production is on at the moment, I have many pictures that have never been exposed. As soon as possible I will make a personnel where they will be exposed to my latest works.

16. Who wants to see his creations even as far as can be done?

You can view the gallery on my site http://www.davidedepalma.com, where you can find more information, reviews, news and my blog. The works are available for sale online.

17. An invitation to those who have read this interview to know?

The beauty of a work of art is in the eye of the beholder, the emotions you feel when looking at a painting is personal, subjective. Linger a moment to contemplate a work of art, waiting for something to arrive, you feel something. We must not "understand art" to feel an emotion, just be human.
