"Eyes On Saturn" is a great national initiative that will allow 18 May 2013, with many events throughout Italy, to observe the most beautiful planet in the Solar System approach to astronomy and especially recalling the figure of a great Italian astronomer Gian Domenico Cassini, a great scholar of Saturn and which is dedicated to the space probe that is still traveling around the ringed planet.
The initiative is sponsored by the Italian Astronomical Society, the National Institute of Astrophysics, the Italian Space Agency, and the European Astrosky by the Amateur Astronomers Italian Network is organized by the Association of Stellaria Perinaldo, the birthplace of GDCassini, in collaboration with the Institute of Space Astrophysics and Planetology (IAPS) in Rome with the support of tens of astronomical observatories, planetariums and groups of enthusiasts from all over Italy. It is now in its second edition after the great success of 2012, when, with 49 events in 14 Italian regions involved thousands of people throughout the peninsula.
The COMPANY 'ASTRONOMICAL ITALIAN SECTION Apulia (Saitpuglia) attending the event setting up a national observatory on the beautiful terrace of the Park Hotel Sant'Elia di Fasano (Br) - adjacent to the Safari Park.
The evening's program:
- From 20.30 to 24.00 astronomical observations with the telescope Astronomical Saitpuglia promoters as prepared by the Group;
- 21.30, "Who lights the stars" musical interlude by Stefano Ottoman Empire;
- Art & Poetry with exhibition of works of art by Tiziana room and declamation of the verses of Raffaella Iannetti, poet among the stars.
- In the multimedia room, projection of astronomical images and videos on the Cassini mission.
- Wine tasting with artistic performance Coloribo, colors and food to eat multisensory Bice Perrini;
ACCESS TO EVENING AND 'FREE.
During the evening in favor of participants who have made a donation of € 10.00 will be raffled off some gifts and gadgets offered by Fasano Zoo Safari Park (free admission), Park Hotel Sant'Elia (stays and spa treatments) and Salmoiraghi & Viganò (telescopes).
Part of the proceeds will be donated to Telethon, and scientific research for the treatment of genetic diseases.
