Giusy Lauriola
Collezionando Gallery from April 5 to May 10, 2014
edited by Ada Egidio
The Collezionando Gallery opens Saturday, April 5th at 18:30 a solo exhibition of Giusy Lauriola Entitled - Qui e Ora - curated by Ada Egidio . The exhibition will move to May in the new artist's studio and then moved to Athens.
The artistic project as a suction concept of Zen philosophy , the here and now , the present moment , the Now , the only time you really live .
It is not excluded in this world to plan for the future , to erase old wounds or bring out wonderful memories. You just want to shift the emphasis from the middle or from the departure point in the trip.
In the works of Giusy Lauriola the protagonists are passers-by, passers- by on the streets of Rome , on the way to each his personal and particular trip, even praise of everyday life . This is expressed by the references to the beauties of Rome , the birthplace and where the artist lives , that is the background to his days . Not cheap, nor granted. You can see the Colosseum , Castel Sant'Angelo, St. Peter's , the Pantheon.
The Zen journey for all of us that we go through this life, and often we forget to look at what and who is around us, for giving obvious "being" , our affections , the beauty of our city. Also glimpse of the wings on the shoulders of passers-by. For the artist are the unspoken dreams , who also expect them to be recognized and realized.
