Internationally well-known artist Pari Ravan was born 1942 in Iran and won her first art award at the age of 14, in a competition for young people in Iran. Afterwards, she was taught by Professor Sadgpoor as a master-class student at the University of Fine Arts in Teheran. She moved to Germany when she was 17 years old. From 1975 to 1979 Pari Ravan was a student of Baruch-Elron, the renowend Israeli fantastic-surrealistic artist.
She lives now on the Cote d’Azur, France.
Pari Ravan had more than 140 exhibition so far and her works are held by the Museum Palais Pallfy Vienna, the Southern Nevada Museum of Fine Art Las Vegas, the Museum of Art Solingen and the Carnival Museum Cologne. The artist received 17 art awards and she is listed in the International Directory of Arts 2015.
Pari Ravan paints in oil and acrylic on canvas and wood,using the old-masters’ techniques. Her style is classified as romantic-surrealism characterised by its atmosphere and psychological content. The artist presents idyllic, dreamy landscapes, dominated by infinite skies. In this endless panoramas of surreal stillness, fragile details catch our eye.
Pari Ravan is exhibiting a selection of her works at the MOYA- Museum of Young Art Vienna.
