Spirits of the tree
Exhibitions, Canada, Montréal, 15 May 2014

“Sharpen your senses with this new exhibition at the Botanical Garden’s Tree House. Photography, sculpture and prints are combined in this multimedia installation mingling the many scents of wood with the rustling of the forest. Sounds, images, fragrances, light and shadows branch out to create a space in which the visible meets the invisible and the audible meets the inaudible. With each step through this world that is at once symbolic and mythical, visitors are invited to take the time to dream and imagine, to smell and listen, to reflect and ponder.”

The art of marrying the senses

“In this unusual exhibition, photographer Thierry Dubreuil, visual artist Michel Gautier and aroma sculptor Michael Moisseeff pool their skills to express their common passion for trees and the forest. Trees and humans are bound together—inseparable since the dawn of time, they have grown and breathed as one. And now?”
Manon Regimbald, curator
