Rocca delle Macie was born in 1973, when Italo Zingarelli, the film producer We had so loved by Ettore Scola, and even the highly successful series of films with the couple Bud Spencer and Terence Hill (including They Call Me Trinity, They Call Me Trinity ), he decided to realize his dream of his life, buying the estate "Le Macie" - 85ha of which only two vineyards - to give life to a winery in the heart of Chianti Classic.
