The rivisitismo of Fulber presents us with Criminal Heart , the new oil painting of dalinian memory dedicated to the theme of violence against women. The work, which measures 100 x 150 cm is sponsored by the section of the Sanremo FIDAPA, the Federation of Italian Women in the arts, business and professions, which in fact chose violence against women as the dominant theme. Criminal Heart will be the subject of a travelling exhibi- tion that will host the painting in over two hundred locales scattered throughout Italy from 2014, with the aim of raising public awareness about this genuine social scourge. Depicted in the painting, which is set within the walls of a house transformed into a pit, is a woman “silenced”by the and of a man. The man is devoid of eyes and his head is split into several sections, from which small yellow daìmons come, desperately tryng to grab a torn heart. Man, therefore, is an important part of the work, because as has already been written, violence towards women is a problem all of its own.
The oil painting Criminal Heart was on display and blessed by Pope Francis on 29th January at the Central Church Square of the Vatican in Rome, on the occasion of the public court requestead by the president, Patrizia Acquista, who represent the FIDAPA delegation, Sanremo branch.
