Conrad Wilde Gallery, Flesh has been portrayed countless times over many centuries, often to show a figure as the subject. But what happens when the flesh itself is the subject instead of the individual? Flesh Anew showcases artists whose work takes a fresh look at flesh, from the epidermal to the visceral. From extreme close-ups, to near total abstractions, to distortion of form and color, the artists force the viewer to reconsider what can be communicated by this intimate subject.
