A specially designed for Le Murate. Projects Contemporary Art

Under the guidance of the American photographer Jay Wolke professor of photography at the "Columbia University College" in Chicago and with the support of the Fondazione Studio Marangoni professors nine young photographers selected through open call could take a training course that led them to the discovery and analysis of the topic "Arno river". The workshop made it possible to develop a search on the river of which the city of Florence has felt particularly presence throughout history in an ongoing relationship of affection and contrast. The students have addressed the design and execution path of the images that portray the everyday life around the river starting from the portraits of the merchants of Ponte Vecchio, to continue with a few clicks of the shore of the Boating Party to the video production, identifying a specific theme and giving a vision broad theme.
