This is organized with the support of: Progetto Culturalet, Arcidiocesi of Bari-Bitonto, Diocesi of Cerignola-Ascoli Satriano, Diocesi of Lucera-Troia, Comune of Bari, of Ascoli Satriano, of Cerignola, of Orta Nova, of Lucera, of Troia, Provincia of Bari, Provincia of Foggia, and Apulia Region.
The competition, in its first edition, is aimed at female artists and their cultural vision, iconography and symbolism of the Madonna, mother of Christianity.
The award will create a major traveling exhibition in Bari, Cerignola, Orta Nova, Ascoli Satriano, Lucera and Troia. The exhibitions will be held in prestigious churches and museums of the above cities.
ADMISSION TO THE AWARD
A maximum of 100 female artists will be asked to take part. The artists will be chosen after their proposed artwork has been received and a certificate of participation in the competition will be given to them by a first Scientific Jury for the Selection. The decision of the jury is final.
A final Jury, tailor made for this task, will select the 20 finalists Artist, this will be composed by different members from the Jury for the Selection and, in order to guarantee confidentiality and impartiality, their names will be made public only on the eve of the price. The final Jury will award the Prizes and its decisions are final. The organizers and the participants are asked to fully accept and understand this.
Artists of any age or nationality can take part.
The allowed techniques and substrates are: canvas, plywood and wood, these must be duly mounted on frames and have proper hanging apparatuses. Painting techniques: oil, acrylic, mixed media.
The works submitted must not exceed 70X100 cm. and not less than 50x60 cm.
NB: If different techniques and substrates are used, it must be communicated to the organization FEDERICO II EVENTS that will consider the possibility of participation in the Prize. The direction of the premium is entrusted to the artist Miguel Gomez.

The first prize includes the participation in the travelling exhibitions " NOTTI SACRE IN PUGLIA", a plaque-prize, the organization of three solo travelling exhibitions at the three churches of "St. Teresa dei Maschi" in Bari, the "Polo Museale Civico" of Ascoli Satriano, il "Polo Museale Civico" di Cerignola and the publication of the selected work in the catalogue of the prize " NOTTI SACRE IN PUGLIA "
The second prize includes participation in the travelling exhibitions “NOTTI SACRE IN PUGLIA", a plaque-prize, two solo exhibitions at the "Church of St. Teresa dei Maschi" in Bari and at the "PoloMuseale Civico" of Cerignola, and the publication of the selected work on the catalogue of the price “NOTTI SACRE IN PUGLIA”
The third prize includes participation in the travelling exhibitions “NOTTI SACRE IN PUGLIA”, a plaque-prize, one solo exhibition at the "Church of St. Teresa dei Maschi" in Bari and the publication of the selected work on the catalogue of the prize “NOTTI SACRE IN PUGLIA”
The President of the Jury or one of the members will write a review of the winning work of the first classified for the catalogue containing the finalist artworks. The Association will not be responsible in any way in organizing shipments of works and will not cover any cost incurred.
The finalist Artists will also have available for free a virtual space on the website of the Association where they can exhibit their work, up to the maximum number of 3 (three).
The A.P.S. FEDERICO II EVENTI reserves, at any time in its sole discretion, the right to exclude from the website works deemed to be not morally correct or that may be harmful or offensive to third parties.
The photographs of the works submitted for selection should be sent in jpg digital 300 dpi all'A.P.S FEDERICO II EVENTS and must contain: the title of the work, the technique, the substrate, the size, a short presentation of the Artist (maximum 15 lines) and an email address for any communication to the artist.
REGISTRATION FOR THE COMPETITION
The participants in the Award should send filled registration form to the email address: premio.nottisacreinpuglia@gmail.com , providing all the required data and proof of payment of the participation fee of €40.00, that partially covers the organizational costs. This must be done not later than May 31, 2105
PAYMENT MODALITY
Payments must be made to A.P.S. FEDERICO II EVENTS by bank transfer addressed to: FEDERICO II EVENTS Banca di Credito Cooperativo di Bari I/IT/63a0701204001000000013519 giving the following reason: "Registration for the International Painting Prize NOTTI SACRE IN PUGLIA 2015”. They must be made by 31 May 2015 and include the artist's name and surname, phone, email, city and country of origin.
No other type of payment other than that described above will be accepted. We will not accept costs charged to bank, under penalty of cancellation of registration. The artists have the obligation to keep a copy of the payment. The registration fee is non-refundable.
HOW TO SEND THE WORKS
The selected works must be sent by courier no later than July 31, 2015, under penalty of disqualification, to: FEDERICO II EVENTS c / o Auditorio Vallisa, via Vallisa 11-70100 Bari.
PATRONAGE

FIRST JURY
The works will be selected by Masters of Arts and journalists specialized in that field, according to their own discretion they will assess the 20 finalists who will attend the prize.
NB: The first selection will be made solely on the basis of photos. No artwork should be sent.
FINAL JURY
The 20 finalist’s artworks will be presented to and judged by a Jury composed of prestigious Masters of Art with international curriculum, critics, curators and journalists.

JURY REGULATION
The jury's decisions are final. The artists will be able to withdraw at any time refusing the prize, losing the right to ask for any kind of compensation. In this case, the prize will be reassigned to the second runner. Each candidate gives the Association the right to reproduce the works and texts for the preparation of the catalogue, the list of the participants and the publication of the works on the award website and other forms of publicity and organization activities.
Each candidate authorizes A.P.S. FEDERICO II EVENTS, and their direct representatives, to treat the personal data transmitted according to the Law 675/96 ("Privacy Act"), and the amended D.1gs. 196/2003 (Privacy Code), in order to be included in databases operated by the persons mentioned above.
Each participant in the competition is responsible for the statements concerning the authenticity, ownership and attribution of the work. Participation in the competition implies knowledge and the total acceptance of this announcement.
COMPONENTS OF JURY
the names of the Chief Judge and of the Jury will be announced at the end of the registrations to protect the smooth running of the operations of the Jury. The jury will consist of international art teachers, critics, curators. The President of the Jury will be the person of artistic culture ad hoc.
The award ceremony will be held in August 2015 and will coincide with the opening of the exhibition of the 20 finalist works at “Polo Museale di Ascoli Satriano”. The shortlisted artists will be advised by the end of June 2015.
The exhibitions will be completed within the month of October 2015
A.P.S. FEDERICO II EVENTS, while ensuring the utmost care and custody of the works for the competition, disclaims any responsibility for any theft, fire, or damage of any kind of the works received, which may occur during any stage of the competition and exhibition. Any insurance request must be organized directly by the Artists.
DISCLOSURE AND VALIDITY
we invite the artists to keep up with the news of the Prize, which will be regularly posted on the site: www.federicoiieventi.altervista.org
In the event of the competition being delayed, any change to the deadline for enrolment and the shipping of the artworks will be communicated personally to each artist by email. The organization will send to all the artists enrolled any relevant communication and any modification that may be made to this announcement.
COPYRIGHTS
The Authors, by the very fact of taking part in the Prize, give A.P.S. FEDERICO II EVENTS, organizer of the Painting Prize “NOTTI SACRE IN PUGLIA” the right to publish the participant artworks on any Prize Anthologies and websites related to it without having any claims to copyrights. The rights remain however the property of the individual artists.
Participation in the competition implies the acceptance of all the terms of this regulation and the tacit approval to the disclosure of the participant’s names and of the prize awarded in newspapers, magazines and websites.
WITHDRAWAL OF WORKS
Any eventual withdrawal of artworks must be completed without fail by the end of November 2015.
ACCEPTANCE
By the payment of the quota of participation in the competition the artist declares to have taken full and extensive knowledge of this regulation in all the points detailed above.
