Artist Henriette Roka-Aardal shows a dozen paintings at Galleri Pingvin. She was selected as one of 12 emerging artists in 2015 which will set out in the same gallery as Ekatherina S., M. M. Malvin and Silvia Papas.

Henriette Roka-Aardal
the artist is the grandaughter of the late painter Charles Roka, who is best known for his paintings of gypsy girls and their lifestyle, and she has held several solo exhibitions both in Heggedal, at Fornebu, Saetre and Sekkefabrikken. Henriette has a degree from England and Sweden, and has worked ten years as a gilder. In addition, she has seven years of experience in interior design and textile industry. Now Roka-Aardal is working as an artist, just like her famous grandfather.

V E N U E :
Galleri Pingvin is, as one of Scandinavia`s largest art houses, quite a unique gallery. Thelocale is housed in a complete tenement building from 1874. The building has been labeled as a preservation site by the City Antiquarian Bureau and sits on the Bureau`s Golden Lists. The gallery deals with modern art from guest artists and steady artists, Norwegian and foreign, and well known and not so well known.
