Group exhibition Hiljaisuuden manifesti (Manifesto of Silence) is curated by artist Ville Löppönen and is on show at Cultural Centre Sofia, Helsinki.
The exhibition deals with silence in a broader sense than just quietness. Silence opens up doors to hearing and seeing, to experiencing presence and encountering The Other. All the artists of the exhibition state that confronting silence is a crucial and inevitable part of their work; they invite the spectators to confront silence through their works.
The exhibition runs from April 10 until June 14, 2016.
