In a consumer society close to collapse, as the contemporary artistic language Pop seems to want to expose all the contradictions. The works of Warhol, Lichtenstein and Jones, they already anticipated the problematic: the impersonality of art, a mirror of that society, has been exacerbated by both the production techniques, is represented by those inspired by myths, comics, advertising and consumer products mass. "I like art of the people and for the people but, more specifically, as mass art, that is mass produced." Promotion and globalization are the concrete expression of the forecast made in 1968 by Warhol "In the future everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes." This frantic search of fame explains the success of communicative means such as "You Tube" and social networks. Achieved fame, sometimes without special merit than those of creating a "case" becomes a means of speculation, was an intellectual, but often sterile substance. The Pop aesthetic rewards the viewer because it is recognizable: the language of everyday use. So artists like Baj and Schifano used pop forms, citations and creation of multiple works, to search for new content and play a "personal" artistic language. After almost fifty years since the birth of Pop Art, new artistic forms and new characters such as Esther Grossi and Alessandra Pierelli perceive the strength of that language, using it to tell our needs, our weaknesses ... to tell who we really are beyond the image.
