Two Artists with different stories, nationality and gender present – for the very first time– one joint art project where the naked human body seems to be the ancient object of Arts.
In the past, this traditionally played a role of training manuals for Artists, being a scale of harmony and proportions, and a source of knowledge about natural beauty.
But which kind of role is it playing now, in times of globalization when all the bodies are “opened” and all the Arts, “mixed”?
Can the human body be transformed into a faceless package, a brand carrier, some absurd slogans, or somebody's advertising idea? Or is it still associated to something sensual and erotic? That is a question that – today – needs an answer.
Matteo Bosi and Masha Trotzky first met each other in the virtual space of FaceBook about a year ago. Their personal similarity and commonality of views – found later, when they met face to face – were so remarkable to prompt the idea of a common project.
The Joint Russian-Italian Art Project «Body as Evidence» is designed to serve the cause of strengthening International co-operation and exchanging mutual experience in the Arts.
