1 – Associazione Sedicicorto, NRG1 and Romagna Creative District promote a contest for the organization of an art exhibition called: “(s)legati (d)alla follia” / “(not) connected with madness”, within 2nd ForliFolli Festival.
02 – The initiative is addressed to all over 18 national and foreign artists who are sensitive to the representation of MADNESS and would like with their own interpretation to enhance and highlight a theme of great social and cultural importance. It is not necessary to submit unreleased works.
03 – Submissions are free and open until 10-04-2013 (the postmark will be considered proof of the date of mailing). Each author can submit more works, and any technique is admitted. For each submitted work, it is necessary to send an e-mail to info@sedicicorto.it with the following material:
a) a low resolution JPG or TIFF file of the work submitted
b) the following data, always via e-mail:
- first name/surname
- year of birth
- town
- telephone number
- e-mail address
- title of the work
- technique of the work
- possibility of sale (the proceeds will be totally paid to the author)
04 – The theme of the present contest is MADNESS. The works will have to be created within a circular surface with a diameter of 50x50cm. The works can also be sent in their original size, then the organization will delineate them in order to obtain the 50x50cm round format. In case of selection, the participant must send:
a) a JPG or TIFF file with a resolution of at least 300 DPI
b) the original canvas, only in case of painting.
05 – The selected works will be on display in the month of May 2013 in the exhibition area ENERGI1 - Viale dell'Appennino 16, Forlì. A further “photographic reproduction” will be possibly created for an outdoor exhibition in a central area of the town of Forlì, on 17th/18th/19th May 2013.
06 - The required material – whose shipping costs will be paid by the sender - must be mailed to the following address: SEDICICORTO International - C.P. n°8 - S.Martino in Strada - 47121 Forlì - ITALY
07 - The organization is not responsible for any loss or damage to the material during the shipment and during the period it will remain on display. The organization also reserves the right to suspend or change the event whenever it is considered to be necessary.
08 - The jury of the contest, consisting of 5 members from the artistic and academic fields, will deal with the selection of the works and its decisions will be final.
The list of the selected works will be published on the website: www.forlifolli.it within 30-04-2013. The authors of the selected works will be informed of the selection via e-mail. The selected works will be included in the official catalogue of ForliFolli Festival. All the selected works will be put on display in the exhibition area ENERGI1 and possibly within the event “Innovazione responsabile”: from 17th to 19th May 2013.
09 – In case the author needs his/her work/s to be returned, the relative shipping costs will be paid by the applicant. On the contrary, the author authorizes the storage of the submitted work/s in the premises of the association organizing the event, where they will be catalogued and made available for all the events promoted and/or accredited by the Association itself.
10 - The participants authorize the Organization to process the personal data (according to the Italian law 675/96) contained in their work/s and complementary material. The participation to this contest implies full acceptance of all the above-mentioned conditions. These regulations are available in Italian and in English. In case of interpretation problems, the Italian version must be considered.
