Dear Artist:
You are invited to join Scamozzi Award, a contemporary art competition inspired by the intuition of Vincenzo Scamozzi, a great aesthetic innovator in his time, cultivator of memory, and collector of ancient books and works before litteram), artist's model capable of enhancing the level of continuity with the styles and the myths of the past that represent the foundation of creative humanism.
The artists will present works referred to at least one of the following guidelines:
a) figure, portrait, human identity.
b) urban landscape, social memory and historical-existential condition.
c) subjective perception, cultural memory and symbolic transposition of philosophical and psychological content.
d) Elaboration of feeling, styles and myths of the past and present.
Digital art, photography, painting and sculpture will be accepted.
The awards will take place in the halls of the Teatro Olimpico, designed by Vincenzo Scamozzi.
The cash prize will be divided among the winners of the four thematic categories.
Deadline for registration: September 8, 2010
