More than 50 years after the Cuban Revolution the obsolete communist system of Castro remains firmly in place but now Cuba seems to be slowly changing direction. The government is trying to shift from a soviet-style economic system into one that resembles more to the actual Chinese one. It's true, people are now able to buy and sell houses and other goods, but it seems almost impossible when the average salary of a Cuban is still 30 dollars a month. Cubans are indeed trying to catch up with the rest of the world but in the day-to-day changes remain almost unnoticeable.
