The workshop aims to examine , from a practical perspective and methodological approach , the use of the photographic medium as a tool for analysis and narrative of the contemporary city , understood as a layering of history , memory, practices , experiences . We will photograph the architecture , the spaces but also the people, society , the ways of living in the city.
We're going to find artists photographers in their residences , we'll see how artists live in one of the most important , vital and dynamic in the contemporary world : Berlin, " A capital eclectic vitality overwhelming," multifaceted city , multicultural , dynamic, full of bargains and surprises .
Each participant in the workshop will have the opportunity to give an interpretation of "his" Berlin, filtered through his own point of view and told through their own eyes.
We will work together on choosing a theme linked to the city and on the structuring of work: we're going to tell, with photographs, places of memory and the processing , architecture and society : from Alexander Platz at Checkpoint Charlie , Potsdamer Platz, the Tiergarten and the Victory Column , Museum Island , a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Nikolai Quarter , the Cathedral Gendarmenmarkt with French and German , the Avenue Unter der Linden, the Brandenburg Gate , the Reichstag, the Spree , Kroizberg , the wall, the architecture of the East ... and the masterpieces of contemporary architecture , the city and multicultural traditions, theater and cabaret of Berlin and the Berlin "alternative" ... each participant will have the opportunity to develop a photographic project that is a story of "his berlin " , told through the eyes and with his own style .
It 'will be a lecture introduction to the methodology of work and urban photography , hiking collective and individual stages of revision of the shots with suggestions for corrections, and then the final selection. There will be subsequent meetings at the headquarters of the CSF Adams, completely dedicated to the reading of the images selected by the participants.
To participate are sufficient bases of the photographic technique , the most prepared will have a better chance of capturing great images , but the experience is definitely rewarding for those who have a lower technical and able to take photographs less sophisticated .

COST : 200.00 + 30.00 registration fee ( members do not discharge the membership fee )
The price includes:
photographic laboratory in Berlin ;
overnight stay in a double room ;
a dinner in a restaurant ;
The fee does not include travel expenses and local transportation, meals ( except for the welcome dinner ) , entrance museums, and everything not mentioned under " included"
