Biography

Beata Filipowicz (b. 1992, Poland) is a visual artist who expresses herself artistically through printmaking, painting and also illustration (alter ego BEATNIK). She currently lives and works in Wroclaw. Now employed as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Media at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, where she received her MA in Printmaking (2017) at prof. Przemysław Tyszkiewicz’s Intaglio Studio and graphic design at ad. Tomasz Broda’s Illustration Studio (Award of the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodship for the Best Diploma of the Year 2017). Besides her solo presentations in Poland, she participated in various group exhibitions abroad. In 2017 she participated in collective international printmaking project ずれた – Zureta – The Misprint, at the Chinretsukan Gallery, Tokyo and exhibited in 6th Guanlan International Print Biennal in China In 2016 she has exhibited in several group exhibitions in Poland and abroad including: ‘The Young in the Museum. The Top Level ‘, National Museum in Wroclaw, Poland (2016); After Eden’, LATARKA Art Gallery, Budapest, Hungary. She exhibited her painting on the final show of 14th edition of the Hestia Artistic Journey, the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw (2015).
