Biography

I live in Napoli and work in the south of Italy as free lance photographer. I started to have interest in photography during my school years learning from my father who was a photographer and director of photography for the italian national television, getting involved in dark room work. After the degree in political science and a PhD in european union law, I decided to work as a professional photographer. In 1997 I started collaborating with a journalistic photo agency in Naples dedicating my time to news. In 1999 I became a journalist publicist. From 2000 to 2010 I worked for tourism and travel magazines from south Italia, as photographer and editor, for La Rivista del Trekking and Viaggia l’Italia. In 2012 I found, together with others, the "photonapoli collective", a Campania's geographical photo archive. Specialized in landscapes photography, I realized more than 50 reportages and 4 monographs. From 2009 I teach photography in Naples. From 2018 I signed up in the FIAF Cultural Department. My personal research is signed by the passion for urban areas. Travelling in Napoli and Palermo I have been working in the last years on projects related to transformations and contamination of both cities.
