Biography

Giovanni Biscontini was born in 1989, in Gualdo Tadino, a small town in the center of Italy. Since he was a child, he’s always had the passion for drawings and art in all its forms. In 2003, when he was 12, he takes part in the publication of Riccardo Serroni’s book “Racconti di paese”, published by “Edizioni l’Eco del Serrasanta” with his drawings. After graduating from the Digital and Figurative Arts Academy “Scuola Internazionale di Comics” in Jesi, he specializes in Illustrations and Graphic. His art is versatile: although his style is very distinguishable in every one of his works, he goes from comics to fantasy illustrations, from commercial art to conceptual art, and to the creation of complete graphic projects. He works with writers, publishers and advertising agencies in the area of Umbria and Marche, in the center of Italy. In 2013 he cooperates with the writer Luca Zenobi, creating the comics for his fantasy book “I cieli di Neoplana”, which are going to be a part of a commercial booktrailer. An illustrated version of Luca Zenobi’s book is being reprinted. During the same year, he obtained his first exhibit with works based of Francesco Giubilei’s mini concepts “Bastola – la signora del fuoco” published by the Editorial Company “ARPANet”. He also takes part as a guest with his illustrations exhibit to the 6^ edition of the board game fair “Alkimia” in Gubbio. He is also a theater actor and a musician.
