Alex’s first commercial experience in animation bizarrely enough came from an april fools gag. Whilst working for a magazine, they made up a story about a new ‘crew’ having a massive record, being banned from radio stations everywhere and being 'big in Japan' and ran it. Everybody fell for it; they had hundreds of calls, several from very senior A&R people and talent agencies looking to sign the then non-existent group! Wanting to keep the idea going somehow, Alex produced an animated viral campaign, by the third episode they had Missy Elliott paying to be in the cartoon, once this had been sent all over the world they were signed up to a series on a European TV channel.
Alex now spends his days creating his own short films and working in design and motion graphics gaining a range of clients such as adidas, Levi's Mercedes and Rolls Royce. By night he works as a VJ and has performed live visuals in clubs and festivals across europe including Glastonbury, Mapping Festival and the o2.
