Biografia
Demi is from Taipei, Taiwan, a small country on Pacific Ocean.
She lived in Berlin, Germany for two years and now lives in Zaragoza, Spain.
University phase: Her works focused on installation. At that time, she wanted to express the meanings of roles played by women in the society. The materials she used were mainly soft stuff. Furthermore, the creative elements were full of feminine concept.
Master phase: Her works shifted to Video Art. She used her body to be the elements for creation. The image of body was divided and recombined in order to demonstrate the imperfect nature of artist’s body. Use the loop function of image to let the audience enter the meditation.
Now: Use a new point of view to show the spiritual meanings of creation. As before, starts from the original point of body and focuses on the dialogue of body and environment. In another word, use the body from Asia to a dialogue with the environment of Europe.
