Biografia

Andreja Celigoj is a representative of the young generation of designers and illustrators in Slovenia. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, where she also got her MA at the Department of Visual Communications.

During her studies she attended workshops and tenders all over the world. Her last year of studies she spent at UIAH at the Department of new media and graphic design in Helsinki, Finland.

Her most famous projects, which also received several awards, are:
- a set of toilet symbols, published in 2001 Yearbook: OUTPUT4 – Germany, and in 2002 in Pie Book PICTOGRAM AND ICON GRAPHIC – Japan;
- packaging for eggs in Pie Book PACKAGE & WRAPPING GRAPHIC – Japan.

In 2002 she held an exhibition in Louver, France, as a part of the project European Way of Life.

She worked in various agencies, and later decided to dedicate her career to the education of the young.

She is the founder and general manager of a private school art:tecaji (art:clases), where young people prepare for admittance exams for secondary art schools and faculties (design, architecture, fashion, etc.).

She is currently working on her PhD thesis on visual culture.
