My works investigate themes of national and personal identity, particularliy exploring the aggressive insider/outsider mentality that results from the immigrant vs citizen relationship in areas such as homeland security. Often working within the traditional realm of printmaking, I aim to create an uncomfortable friction between elements of innocence and violence, introducing a childlike aesthetic to a corruptive narrative.

I am currently creating a myth called A Wretched Little World, which depicts a landscape full of unsavoury truths that once unearthed, confront the trials and tribulations caused by extreme forms of national pride and cultural identificaton. The works are constructed solely from various household tapes, which emphasize the restraining nature of issues relating to homeland security.
